The Hope College women’s tennis team has made the 2014 Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team.

The Flying Dutch, coached by Adam Ford, were one of 85 teams nationally recognized. It is the third consecutive season they have received ITA All-Academic Team honors.

The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA member program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All eligible student-athletes whose names appear on the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, or CA JUCO eligibility form and have competed in one or more varsity matches must average into the GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2013 and spring 2014).

“I am so proud of these girls,” Ford said. “They truly perform on and off the court. It's not always easy to manage your time while being a student-athlete, but these girls are so good about truly being student-athletes and not being athlete-students.”
