The Chapel Choir, College Chorus and Orchestra at Hope College will perform together on Tuesday, April 21, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The Chapel Choir and College Chorus will combine with the Orchestra to present Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Coronation Mass.” Four soloists will perform, including baritone JungWoo Kim, assistant professor of music.

The Orchestra will also present Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 1” in the first half of the program. The choirs will perform a variety of selections.

Brad Richmond directs both the Chapel Choir and College Chorus. The 40-voice members of the Chapel Choir are selected by audition and maintain a rigorous rehearsal schedule in preparation for their spring concert tour and other engagements throughout the year.  Hope’s largest choral ensemble, College Chorus, is comprised of music majors and non-majors with varying degrees of choral music experience.

Directed by Ingrid Lestrud, The Hope College Orchestra offers music majors and non-majors alike the opportunity to perform major works from the standard orchestral repertoire. The 70-80 member organization regularly presents four concerts during the school year, and features guest artists, concerto/aria winners and faculty soloists as part of the concert season.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
