Three Hope College women’s golfers have earned All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association First Team Honors for the 2015 season.
Junior Britni Gielow of Norton Shores, Michigan (Mona Shores HS) and sophomore Megan Klintworth of Jackson, Michigan (Hanover-Horton HS), both claimed all-league recognition for the second consecutive season.
Sophomore Nicole Meyer of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton HS), picked up her first All-MIAA recognition.
All three golfers teamed to lead the Flying Dutch to the MIAA championship this fall. It was Hope’s second league title in a row and eighth overall.
Gielow averaged a league-best 79.63 strokes over six 18-hole rounds. She had a low round of 75.
Klintworth shot 80.50 for the MIAA’s second-lowest average over 108 holes. Her best round was 74.
Meyer averaged 81.17 for the MIAA’s fourth-best average. She shot her low round of 78 twice.
All-league honors are determined by golfers’ averages during MIAA play. Golfers are allowed to drop the highest round from the six they play.
