Multiple Hope College voice students will perform a variety of works through the college’s Opera Workshop on Friday, April 8, at 4 p.m. in the John and Dede Howard Recital Hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts.

The public is invited.  Admission is free.

The workshop format allows for selections from longer operas to be performed with minimal staging.  The program will include scenes from “Cosi fan tutte” and “Don Giovanni” by Mozart, “Giulio Cesare” by Handel, and “Hansel and Gretel” by Humperdinck.

The event will feature six students: Emilie Bickel, Madeline Day, Caleigh Davenport, Kierney Johnson, Max Tustin and Rosemary Walsh.  The scenes will be directed by Dr. Jung Woo Kim, associate professor of music, and will be accompanied by Sarah Bast, music accompanist at Hope.

The Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts is located at 221 Columbia Ave., between Ninth and 10th streets.
