Hope College will host its ninth annual High School Honors Band concert on Saturday, March 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The group consists of about 60 students from across the state. Hope College faculty member Gabe Southard will be conducting alongside guest conductor Sarah Brown, who is a 2010 Hope graduate and teacher at Mona Shores High School.

This year, the band will be performing Frank Ticheli’s “Shenandoah”; Francis McBeth’s “Of Sailors and Whales”; J.S. Bach’s “Come Sweet Death”; John Mackey’s “Strange Humors”; and John Williams’ “Raiders.”

The Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts is located at 221 Columbia Ave., between Ninth and 10th streets.
