Hope College’s Angelique Gaddy has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for games played through December 25.
The senior guard from Caledonia, Michigan (Grand Rapids South Christian HS) is honored for the first time in his career after sparking the Flying Dutch past Albion in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association action last week.
Gaddy set a DeVos Fieldhouse record with 10 assists and added a game-high 15 points during a 78-71 win over the Britons. She helped Hope outscored Albion 21-7 over the final 6 1/2 minutes.
Nine of Gaddy’s points came during the decisive fourth quarter, including five on
five free-throw attempts.
