Hope College’s Hannah VanAlst has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for games played through April 10.
The freshman from Clio, Michigan (Flint Powers Catholic HS) has earned the award for the second time this season. She was previously recognized on February 29.
VanAlst score six points in each of Hope’s league victories last week.
In the conference opening 14-11 win at Alma on Wednesday, Van Alst scored six goals, picked up seven ground balls, won three draw controls and caused four turnovers.
During a 14-11 victory over Adrian, VanAlst scored four goals and added two assists to go with four draw controls, two caused turnovers and a ground ball. Thirteen of her 15 shots were on goal, including all five against Adrian.
