Hope College’s Erin Brophy has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games through October 22.

The junior from West Lafayette, Indiana (West Lafayette) scored three goals last week for the Flying Dutch during wins against Olivet and Alma.

Brophy scored the go-ahead goal in a 4-1 win at Alma on Saturday that kept Hope within striking distance of MIAA-leader Kalamazoo.

Brophy recorded her first multi-goal game of the season with two goals against visiting Olivet during a 4-1 victory on Wednesday.

This is Brophy’s first MIAA weekly honor.
