Emily Hamilton Chosen MIAA Women’s Cross Country Runner Of The Week

Hope College’s Emily Hamilton has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Runner of the Week for the week of October 23-29.

The junior from Naperville, Illinois (North HS) is honored for the second time this season after clinching MIAA Most Valuable Runner honors Saturday with a runner-up finish at the league championships in Tecumseh, Michigan.

Hamilton clocked a second-place time of 21 minutes, 59.9 seconds on the course at Raisin Valley Golf Club.

Hamilton helped the Flying Dutch post a winning score of 20 points for their third consecutive MIAA Championship.

It is the second time in team history Hope has been claimed a three-peat of women’s cross country titles.
