Athletics
As a member of the MIAA and NCAA Division III associations, Hope College sponsors 22 varsity sports for men and women. The college is home to the 2022 NCAA Division III National Championship women’s basketball team.

Hope College’s Emily Hamilton has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets September 25-October 1.

The junior from Naperville, Illinois (North HS) led the Flying Dutch with a seventh-place effort in the Blue Division at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky.

Hamilton clocked a time of 18 minutes, 22.76 seconds for her spot in the Top 10 among the non-NCAA Division I and II teams in the field.

Hamilton helped the Flying Dutch place third in their division.

This is the first time Hamilton has been picked MIAA Runner of the Week.
