Goalie Jordanne Ellingboe Named MIAA Women’s Soccer Defensive Player Of The Week

Hope College goalie Jordanne Ellingboe has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played between October 9-14.

The freshman from Grand Haven, Michigan (Grand Haven HS) is recognized for the first time after recording two shutouts in MIAA victories last week.

Ellingboe made six saves during a 4-0 victory against second-place Olivet College on Tuesday at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.

Ellingboe collected five saves during a 2-0 victory against second-place Kalamazoo College on Saturday at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.

Ellingboe helped the MIAA-leading Flying Dutch extend their lead to seven points with four league matches remaining. Hope could clinch its sixth MIAA championship and second in a row as early as this week.

Ellingboe has allowed only two goals in 12 MIAA matches this season.
