Hope College’s Gunnar Elder has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for games played April 10-16.
The senior attacker from East Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids HS) totaled
three goals and 13 assists during two road wins last week for the MIAA-leading Flying
Dutchmen.
Elder is receiving the award for the second time this season and the fifth time in
his career.
During a 14-9 win at Calvin on Tuesday, Elder scored two goals and tied a school record
with eight assists.
During a 22-7 win at Kalamazoo on Saturday, Elder recorded one goal and five assists.
Three of his assists came during the first 4 ½ minutes to help Hope grab a 5-0 lead.
