Hope College’s Sydney Jones has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Pitcher of the Week for games played March 20-25.
The junior righthander from South Lyon, Michigan (East HS) is receiving the honor
for the second time in her career and the first time this season.
Jones went 3-1 in four starts last week during Hope’s spring break trip. In 28 innings,
Jones struck out 28 batters while walking only four.
Jones yielded 25 hits and eight runs. Two of the runs were unearned.
Jones is 5-1 on the season with a 1.00 ERA.
