A Hope College trio has earned all-region honors from the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association for the 2017 outdoor track & field season: Erin Herrmann, Alison Rich and Rachael Webb.

The top-five individuals in each event within a region are recognized along with the top-three relay teams. Hope is in the Great Lakes Region.

Herrmann was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association’s Most Valuable Runner this season.

Rich is all-region in the heptathlon. The junior from Haslett, Michigan (Haslett) has qualified for nationals in the event.

Webb is all-region in the 800 meters. She is a junior from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grandville).

A total of 946 women’s track & field athletes claimed all-region recognition this season.
