Hope College to Host Holland Mayoral Debate on Monday, Oct. 16

Hope College will host a debate between the two candidates in Holland’s mayoral race, Mayor Nancy DeBoer and Councilman Jay Peters, on Monday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. at the Knickerbocker Theatre in downtown Holland.

The public is invited.  Admission is free.

The event will be presented in a town hall-style format, and is being organized by the college’s Vox Populi (Voice of the People), Hope Democrats and Hope Republicans student organizations.  Audience members will be provided an opportunity to ask questions, with priority given to the college’s students.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 7.

The doors will open at 6:30 p.m.  The Knickerbocker Theatre is located at 86 E. Eighth St., between College and Columbia avenues.
