Jason Beckman Chosen As MIAA Men's Basketball Player Of The Week
Hope College guard Jason Beckman has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season.
The senior from Shelby, Michigan (Shelby HS) averaged 24.5 points, 7.0 assists and
3.5 rebounds over two games as the Flying Dutchmen won a game and lost one.
During an 89-78 victory against Grace Christian University on Tuesday, Beckman scored
a game-high 33 points with a career-high seven 3-pointers. He collected eight assists
and six rebounds.
On Saturday, Beckman finished with 16 points, six assists and one rebound during an
82-74 loss to sixth-ranked Wisconsin-Stevens Points.
This is the seventh time in Beckman’s college career he has received MIAA Player of
the Week honors.
