Hope College’s Madison Geers has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for games played December 25-31.
The senior guard from Scottville, Michigan (Mason County Central HS) is honored for
the first time in her career after leading the Flying Dutch to two wins and the Bluffton
University Tournament title last weekend.
Geers averaged 20.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 steals, and 2.0 assists during victories
against Mount Union, Ohio and Bluffton, Ohio.
Geers scored a career-high 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds during Friday’s 54-52
win against Mount Union. Geers followed up with 19 points and four steals during Saturday’s
72-63 victory at Bluffton.
