Hope College’s Rocco Mularoni has been selected to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association NCAA Division III Team of the Week.

The sophomore attacker from Hartland, Michigan (Detroit Catholic Central HS) is one of the 10 student-athletes nationally recognized for their play during the week of April 9-15.

Mularoni is the first from the Flying Dutchmen to achieve this distinction.

Last week, Mularoni collected nine goals, four assists and 10 groundballs last week during road victories against Olivet and Calvin that pushed Hope’s school-record win streak to 11 matches. The Flying Dutchmen are 11-1 overall and atop the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association with a 4-0 league record.

Mularoni scored six times and recorded two assists at Olivet. He had three goals and two assists at Calvin. Nineteen of Mularoni’s 21 shots during the week were on goal.

On Monday, Mularoni was named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week.
