Three Hope College golfers made the Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-America Scholar Team for the 2017-18 season: Carley Laird, Abby Meder, and Jordyn Rioux.

To receive the honor, student-athletes must have a grade point average of 3.50 or higher. The Flying Dutch trio was among 1,011 college golfers recognized.

All three Hope golfers were freshmen last season. Laird is from Traverse City, Michigan (Central HS). Meder is from Lansing, Michigan (Lansing Catholic Central). Rioux is from Farmington, Michigan (Livonia Ladywood).

“Hope College can be very proud of these three young ladies,” women’s golf coach Greg Stafford said. “They are very good teammates and excellent students. It is an honor for them to receive this award.”
