The Vox Populi student organization of Hope College and the League of Women Voters of the Holland area will host a forum about the statewide proposals that will be on the November ballot on Tuesday, Oct. 2, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Maas Center auditorium.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

Michigan voters will be presented three proposals on Tuesday, Nov. 6: one legalizing marijuana, the second establishing a citizen’s redistricting committee, and the third focused on election security and voting rights.

“The LWV is pleased to join the Hope College student group Vox Populi for this educational forum,” said Claudia Berry, president of the Holland-area league. “This presentation will allow voters to learn more about the proposals and discuss the pros and cons.”

The president of the Michigan League of Women Voters, Judy Karandjeff, will be the guest speaker.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization which encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government. More about the Holland-area league is available on Facebook at @LWVHolland or at lwvholland.org.

The Maas Center is located at 264 Columbia Ave., between 10th and 13th streets.
