The Hope College Knickerbocker Theatre’s Fall Film Series will feature “Photograph” on Monday-Saturday, Oct. 7-12, at 7:30 p.m.

“Photograph” is an Indian comedy-drama that takes place in Mumbai and tells the story of a struggling street photographer, Rafi, who, pressured by his grandmother to get married, convinces a shy stranger, Miloni, to pose as his fiancée. The two eventually build a connection that transforms them in ways they could not expect. The Washington Post has called the actors’ performances “lovely.”

The film is rated PG-13 and is English, Hindi and Gujarati with English subtitles.

This year’s Fall Film Series is featuring “The Farewell” (Sept. 16-21), “Toni Morrison, the Pieces I Am” (Sept. 30-Oct. 5), “Photograph” (Oct. 7-12) and “Yuli” (Nov. 11-16).  Tickets for the individual films, which all begin at 7:30 p.m., are $7 for regular admission, and $6 for senior citizens, Hope College faculty and staff, and children, and will be sold at the door.

Audience members who need assistance to fully enjoy any event at Hope are encouraged to contact the college's Events and Conferences Office by emailing events@hope.edu or calling 616-395-7222 on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
