Hope College’s Grant Williams has been selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men’s Diving Athlete of the Week.
The junior from Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids HS) is honored after winning
both 1- and 3-meter diving at Davenport University last weekend and helping the Flying
Dutchmen win their meet against the University of Findlay (Ohio) and Kalamazoo College.
Williams posted first-place efforts of 529.95 points on the 3-meter board and 481.30
points on the 1-meter board. Both were NCAA Division III regional-qualifying totals.
He improved his team 1-meter dive record for six dives with a total of 327.3.
This is the fifth time in his career, and the second time this season, Williams has
been selected the MIAA Men's Diving Athlete of the Week.
