The Hope College men’s basketball team finished fourth in the 2019-20 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Poll.

Head coach Greg Mitchell and the Flying Dutchmen totaled 31 points.

The Flying Dutchmen return two starters from last season’s team that posted a 15-11 overall record and tied for third place in the MIAA standings.

Senior guard Riley Lewis of Williamston, Michigan (Williamston) earned All-MIAA Second Team honors last season after averaging a career-high 17.3 points per game. Junior forward Preston Granger of Lansing, Michigan (Lansing Christan) scored a career-high 13.3 points and a team-leading 6.1 rebounds per game.

Hope opens the season on Friday, November 8 with a 7 p.m. home game against Ripon College (Wisconsin) at DeVos Fieldhouse.

Albion topped the all seven possible first-place votes. Coaches could not vote for their own team.
