Hope College’s Justin Freeman has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
The senior from Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS) is receiving the indoor honor for
the first time this season and the second time in his indoor career.
Freeman clocked a school-record time of 6.93 seconds on Saturday at Grand Valley State
University’s Mike Lints Open.
Freeman surpassed his previous best of 6.99 seconds.
Freeman helped the Flying Dutchmen post a sixth-place finish at the 15-team meet that
included NCAA Division I, II and III, and NAIA teams.
