Hope College’s McKenna Otto has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Volleyball Player of the Week.

The sophomore middle hitter from Wheaton, Illinois (Wheaton North HS) averaged 16.3 kills with a .372 kill percentage over three victories for the Flying Dutch last week at the Illinois Wesleyan University tournament. Otto also averaged 3.7 blocks and 3.3 digs.

On Saturday, Otto recorded a career-high 20 kills on 39 attempts for a .385 kill percentage during a four-set victory against Aurora University (Illinois).

Otto then collected 16 kills on 24 attempts for a .583 kill percentage during a three-set victory against Luther College (Iowa).

On Friday, Otto finished with 13 kills and two service aces during a five-set victory against Illinois Wesleyan.

This is Otto’s first MIAA Volleyball Player of the Week Award.
