
Hope College shortstop Savannah Dixon has received all-region honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for the 2019 season.
The sophomore from Niles, Michigan (Edwardsburg HS) is a third-team selection in the
Central Region.
Dixon led the Flying Dutch this season with a .419 batting average and a team-record
48 runs batted in.
Batting third, Dixon collected a team-high 54 hits that tied her for the third-most
by a Flying Dutch player in a single season. In 129 at-bats, she totaled 19 extra
base-hits, including a career-high five home runs, two triples and 12 doubles. She
finished with a .659 slugging percentage.
Dixon scored 32 runs — second-best among Hope players this season. She also stole
12 bases in 12 attempts.
In the field, Dixon recorded 54 putouts and 77 assists. She had a .903 fielding percentage.
