Hope College’s Sydney Jackson has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Tennis Player of the Week.

The freshman from Fort Wayne, Indiana (Carroll HS) contributed a total of four points during the Flying Dutch’s two non-league victories on the road last week.

Jackson won both matches at No. 3 singles during a 9-0 victory against Oberlin College (Ohio) and a 5-4 victory against 16th-ranked Case Western Reserve University (Ohio).

Jackson also partnered with senior Taylor LaBarge of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville) for two victories at No. 2 doubles for the Flying Dutch.

This is Jackson’s first weekly award from the MIAA.
