Three Women’s Golfers Make The WGCA All-America Scholar Team
Hope College golfers Deanna DeLeeuw, Abigail Meder and Jordyn Rioux have been named All-America Scholars by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association for the 2018-19 season.
To qualify for the WGCA All-America Scholar Team, golfers must have a cumulative GPA
of at least 3.50. A total of 1,097 women’s collegiate golfers were honored.
This is the second consecutive season Meder and Rioux made the team. Both were award
recipients as freshmen during the 2017-18 season.
This is the first WGCA honor for DeLeeuw, a freshman from Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville
HS).
Meder is from Lansing, Michigan (Lansing Catholic Central). She is majoring in both
biology and psychology.
Rioux is from Farmington, Michigan (Livonia Ladywood). She is majoring in mathematics
education, with an emphasis on kindergarten through eighth grade.
"I would like to congratulate Abby, Jordan and Deanna,” head coach Greg Stafford said.
“It is an honor and privilege to coach these young ladies."
