Two Women’s Tennis Players Earn Spots In Final National Rankings
Two Hope College women’s tennis players made the final Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA Division III rankings for the 2019 season.
Junior Claire Hallock of Lakeland, Florida (Harrison Center HS) is the 20th-ranked
singles player, while junior Amanda Bandrowski of Traverse City, Michigan (St. Francis)
is the 30th-ranked singles player.
Hope also placed 29th in the final ITA Division III team rankings.
Both Hallock and Bandrowski qualified for the Division III national singles championships
this season.
Hallock finished with a 25-3 singles record this season while playing the No. 1 flight
for the Flying Dutch.
Bandrowski went 30-2 at the No. 2 flight this season and set a team record for singles
wins in a season.
In 2019, Hallock and Bandrowski helped claim its fifth consecutive Michigan Intercollegiate
Athletic Association regular-season championship and advance to the NCAA Tournament
for the eighth consecutive time.
Bandrowski ranks fourth all-time among Flying Dutch players with 75 singles wins after
three seasons. Hallock is sixth with 71 singles wins. The school record is 89.
