Hope College will feature a saxophone faculty recital featuring Jordan VanHemert on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m., with the live performance available for viewing online at hope.edu/live.

Out of an abundance of caution due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no in-person audience.  The concert will be taking place in the Concert Hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for the Musical Arts.

Jordan VanHemert will be joined by CJ Kingdom-Grier, voice; Jonathan Ruffer, trumpet; Nathan Borton, guitar; Lisa Sung, piano; Tom Lockwood, bass; and Jeff Shoup, drums. They will perform “The Path Ahead,” by Jordan VanHemert; “Stella by Starlight,” from Victor Young; “Luke's Blues,” by Lisa Sung; “Yes or No,” by Wayne Shorter; and “Speak to My Heart,” by Donnie McClurkin.
