Hope College’s Liam Faber has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men’s Swimmer of the Week.
The sophomore from Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Kentwood HS) is receiving the honor
for the first time in his career.
Faber swam a season-best time during a tri-meet on Saturday against two NCAA Division
II schools, Davenport University and Saginaw Valley State University.
He recorded his fastest time in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1 minute, 3.90 seconds.
He finished fourth.
Faber also placed fourth in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:20.03 and the 400
individual medley at 4:33.81.
