Grace VanDellen and Megan Jenkinson delivered consistently on the links this fall for the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association champion Hope College women’s golf team.

The two teammates lead a group of four Flying Dutch golfers to claim All-MIAA honors.

VanDellen headlines the six-member All-MIAA First Team as the league’s Most Valuable Golfer. The junior from Oxford, Michigan (Lutheran Northwest HS) is joined on the first team by Jenkinson, a senior from Traverse City, Michigan (T.C. West).

Senior Megan Radaz of Alma, Michigan (Alma) and sophomore Emlin Munch of Traverse City, Michigan (T.C. Central) both made the All-MIAA Second Team.

VanDellen, a biomedical/biomechanical engineering major, joins four other Hope golfers who have earned MIAA Most Valuable Golfer honors.

Previously, the Flying Dutch’s MVPs were Megan Klintworth (2014, 2016), Lacey Wicksall (2000), Ellen Colenbrander (1996, 1998-99), and Lisa Stover (1991-93).

VanDellen led the MIAA with a 78.17 scoring average over 108 holes.

Five of VanDellen’s rounds finished in the 70s, including a season-best, 3-over-par 74 at Duck Lake Country Club on September 14.

Jenkinson claimed All-MIAA First Team honors for the second consecutive after tying for fifth in the MIAA standings with an 80.0 scoring average.

In Jenkinson’s final round of the fall, the biomedical/biomechanical engineering major fired a career-low, 2-over-par 74 at Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek at the MIAA’s Fall Finish on Saturday.

This is Jenkinson’s third All-MIAA honor. She was a second-team selection in 2019.

Munch recorded an 81.17 average during MIAA play.

Radaz, a business and communication double major, posted an 83.83 average.
