Hannah Kenny is chosen as MIAA Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week

Hope College senior Hannah Kenny is being honored as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for her accomplishments in running events last Friday.

The Spanish and social work double major from Grand Haven, Michigan (Grand Haven HS) led the Flying Dutch with a first-place result in the 1500 meters at the Comet Invitational hosted by Olivet College. Kenny dominated the race, clocking a time of 4:45.02 – nearly 20 seconds faster than the closest competitor and more than nine seconds better than her previous collegiate-best time.

Kenny also took third in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:39.24.

This is Kenny's first MIAA Athlete of the Week honor.
