Women’s and Men’s Cross Country Claim USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors

The Hope College women’s and men’s cross country teams could not compete last fall but still have continued a proud tradition of excellence in the classroom.
Both the Flying Dutch and the Flying Dutchmen have earned the United States Track and Fiel and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team Award.
The women’s team has achieved distinction every year since the program debuted — a run of 31 times.
The men’s team has claimed the recognition in 30 of 31 seasons.
In order to qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Award, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 or higher.
The women’s team recorded a team GPA of 3.69. The men’s team had a 3.53 team GPA.
Both Hope teams are led by head coach Mark Northuis.
The Flying Dutch and Flying Dutchmen did not compete last fall because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
