Ana Tucker Voted to CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team

Hope College’s Ana Tucker is an exceptional distance runner and student-athlete.
The junior exercise science major has been voted to the College Sports Information Directors of America Women’s Track and Field/Cross Country Academic All-America® Team for NCAA Division III.
Tucker (Midland, Michigan / H.H. Dow HS) is one of 15 third-team selections and 45 honorees overall in Division III.
It is the ninth time a runner from the Flying Dutch has claimed the CoSIDA Academic All-America® award. Tucker joins Chelsea Miskelley (2020), Sheri McCormack (2014), Nora Kuiper (2009), Rebecca Timmer (1999), Ellen Schultz (1998), Marie Matchett (1997), and Tauna Jecmen (1989, 1988).
In May, Tucker earned All-America honors in two events at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Tucker finished fifth in the 5,000 meters with a school-record run of 16 minutes, 36.43 seconds and eighth in the 10,000 meters with a time of 36:13.36.
In March, Tucker qualified for indoor nationals in the 5,000 meters. In November, Tucker placed 11th at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships and earned All-America honors. Tucker also helped the Flying Dutch record their second-highest team finish at nationals at eighth place.
Tucker helped both the cross country and outdoor track and field teams win MIAA titles.
The Division III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2021-22 Division III Academic All-America® program.
