Dr. Stephen K. Taylor, who retired in 2009 after 24 years as a member of the college’s chemistry faculty, died on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019. He was 74.
Research scientist Dr. Douglas R. Worsnop, a 1974 Hope College graduate who is a vice president with Aerodyne Research Inc., will focus on the effect of aerosol emissions on climate and health through two lectures that he will present while at Hope on Thursday and Friday, Jan. 24-25, through the James and Jeanette Neckers Lectureship in Chemistry.
Though Joanne Stewart is an inorganic chemist, she champions the importance of education stemming from a variety of realms.
For the third consecutive year, a Hope College student won an award at the Annual Meeting and National Student Conference of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). A total of six Hope College students who participated in research this past summer had their work selected for presentation during the conference.
