President Dennis and Betty Voskuil invited students to join them outside their home on Thursday, November 29, for the Lighting of the Tree and Christmas carols. Followed by a walk to the Bultman Center to enjoy more music, treats and cookie decorating.
The 78th annual Hope College Christmas Vespers was presented on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1 and 2. The program of Christmas carols and anthems was presented by the college’s Department of Music and featured more than 200 performers in historic Dimnent Memorial Chapel.
“IMAGES: A Reflection of Cultures” took place on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Knickerbocker Theatre. An international showcase and cuisine provided a sampling of cultural heritage from around the world. The showcase featured an array of skits, dance, song and other clips of culture and language. More than 60 students participated from several countries.
The student-organized Hope College chapter of Colleges Against Cancer sponsored its 16th annual Relay For Life event on Friday, November 2. The Relay For Life is part of a national fund-raising initiative for the American Cancer Society.
