Relay for Life

Join the fight against cancer.

Hope College’s chapter of Colleges Against Cancer sponsors the annual Relay for Life typically each November. This overnight fundraiser involves people from all student groups, residence halls, neighborhoods and departments. Individuals participate, as well as entire teams.

Throughout the relay, a number of traditional events take place. The Survivors Lap is a celebration of cancer survivors and caregivers. The Lumineria Ceremony is a candlelit event, honoring those who have passed away and those who continue to battle. Throughout the event, members of the Hope community who have been touched by cancer share their own stories.

To get involved with Hope’s Relay for Life, sign up or donate on our American Cancer Society page, or contact relay@hope.edu with any questions.
