Collegiate Learning Assessment Data

 

Hope administered the Collegiate Learning Assessment in 2008-2009 and in 2010-2011. Hope uses the cross-sectional methodology, which samples 100 first-years in the fall and 100 seniors in the spring. The two tasks are Performance and Analytical Writing.

After adjusting for entering academic ability, the scores shown below are the difference in performance between senior and first-year students, taking into account what students should have scored based on their ACT/SAT. (This score is normative to other participating institutions—percentile score).
