Join Dr. Jim Serum as he reflects on the foundations that were built at Hope College
that led him to a successful career as a scientist, starting with his familial ties
to the construction of Lubbers Hall and his work in Mass Spectrometry. You don’t have
to be a scientist to learn something new from this presentation!

This presentation provides a glimpse into Hope Forward curriculum, designed for the freshman year experience within the four-year co-curricular program. It explores the virtue of gratitude and its impact on hope, happiness and well-being. Drawing on research from Hope faculty, you’ll gain a research-based foundation and practical tools to cultivate hope and fulfillment through gratitude.

we’ll celebrate the enduring legacy of Hope College — cherishing the past, shaping
the future and strengthening the bonds that unite us across generations.

50th Reunion Brunch and 50-Year Circle Induction Ceremony

Members of the class of 1975 are invited to celebrate five decades of life well lived
since graduation! Following a delicious brunch, you’ll be officially inducted into
the prestigious 50-Year Circle, honoring half a century of life, love, and legacy
since tossing those caps in the air. The morning will wrap up with a class photo —
because some things, like great friendships, never go out of style. Don’t miss this
chance to relive the best of ’75 and make new memories along the way. As our gift to the 50th reunion class, this event is free for all guests.

— a high-resolution player piano in the Department of Music. Discover how Spirio enhances
learning with its stunning sound, interactive technology and access to performances
by world-class artists. Enjoy live demonstrations, play it yourself and explore how
this innovative instrument is shaping the future of music education! Space is limited
to 20 participants.
The Holland Experience: Bus Tour
1–2:45 p.m. | Haworth Hotel
Registration required ($5)
Drive down memory lane and experience the highlights of Holland from the comfort of
a Hope College tour bus. A tour guide will facilitate your journey with stops at iconic
spots like the Cappon House, the Holland State Park and Tulip Lane. All passengers
will be treated to a classic Holland treat! Capacity is limited to 33 guests. We’ll
depart from Haworth Hotel.
