While many colleges and universities went remote for the fall semester, Hope College found a way to keep our students healthy, in-person and on campus from early August to late November.
Parent Reflections on Fall 2020
“Thank You President Scogin and Hope College for taking care of our kids! Your handling of this impossible situation was truly amazing! Thankful for Hope College!”
—Hope College Mom
“Our granddaughter is a Hope student, and we are so grateful for all the blessings she’s received while there. Thank you for your leadership, President Scogin, and the joy you share.”
—Hope College Grandmother
“Your work has been non-stop and insane towards the end but because of you the campus stayed safe, and things didn’t spiral out of control. As a mom who was so far away, we live in Florida, I feel so grateful that my son chose to go to Hope and that there were so many people there to ensure his safety. Thank you for the never-ending work you have done since this pandemic came into being.”
—Hope College Mom
“I just want to say thank you. Your leadership, care and concern for the students throughout this semester has been outstanding. In the fall my husband and I nervously sent our two girls to you to begin their Hope experience. On more than one occasion I have literally been in happy tears as they related conversations with staff and administrators and the overwhelming kindness and care they have encountered. In a world riddled with fear and a year that has been anything but stable, you provided an amazing experience for them.”

“Thank you for your continued support and love of your students. We appreciate all your transparency and communication through this journey.”
