Kristin Diekevers
Senior Associate Director of Admissions
Kristin Rose ‘07 Diekevers started in Admissions in July 2007, soon after graduating from Hope. In addition to her local recruitment responsibilities, she serves on the Admissions Leadership Team guiding our Campus Experience and Engagement group whose goal is to create opportunities to best connect our prospective students to the Hope community as they consider calling Hope home for four years.
Kristin also supervises our 50-student tour guide staff during the school year. The amazing young people who make up this team and share their stories are a daily inspiration and reminder of “why Hope.”
Education
- B.A., management and communication, Hope College, 2007
Why I Love Hope
Kristin believes that Hope is a place where challenge spurs growth in body, mind and spirit. She is inspired by the community: the people, the accomplishments, the compassion and the deep roots. She is proud to wear her alma mater’s apparel and gets the not-infrequent “Go Hope!” from complete strangers.
Outside the College
Kristin most loves experiencing new things and new places with family and friends. Even after living in Holland for 15 years, she still makes new discoveries each year. When traveling, Kristin, her husband, Joe (an ’06 Hope grad), and their two children are happiest near friendly people, nature and water.
She likes being active: dancing, playing basketball and volleyball, running, hiking and biking while afterward cooling down with a good book (especially historical fiction, Brit lit or a good ol‘ rom com). Kristin is a lifelong learner, so any time she can make it to a theater or dance performance, concert or insightful lecture or watch a well-done documentary, she’s happy.
