Dr. Elinski is an assistant professor of chemistry and joined the Hope faculty in 2020. 

Areas of Expertise

  • Structure-function relationships at surfaces and interfaces
  • Surface chemistry and intermolecular forces
  • Tribology (friction, adhesion, lubrication, and wear), nanotribology
  • Tribochemistry/mechanochemistry
  • Surface analysis: AFM (atomic force microscopy), ATR-FTIR (attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy), SEM/EDS (scanning electron microscopy/energy dispersive spectroscopy)
