Jill Nutt came to Hope in July 2012 as the director of financial aid. She is responsible for the overall operation of the Office of Financial Aid. She provides leadership in the areas of planning, staffing, budget development, compliance, training, day-to-day operations, systems management and the technical integration of financial aid with other student services in a manner consistent with the college’s mission and vision.

Professional experience

Jill previously spent 22 years at Grand Rapids Community College as assistant director of financial aid, then director of financial aid and finally executive director of student financial services, where she oversaw the operations of both the Financial Aid and Cashier's offices.

• Member of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators
• Member of the Michigan Student Financial Aid Association; elected to various positions on the governing board, chaired various board committees and presented at numerous association conferences

Why I love Hope

Jill loves the support of the Holland community. She thinks Hope’s campus is absolutely beautiful. Most of all, she believes that Hope students are passionate and serious about their education, and she loves helping them find a way to make their educational dreams a reality.

Outside the college

Jill likes to golf, watch sports and go bike riding with friends. She enjoys spending time and travelling with her husband and two sons.
