Mary Templeton
Associate Professor of Accounting InstructionMary Templeton is a tax accountant with more than a decade of industry experience in regional and international accounting firms. Her courses include Intermediate Accounting, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Accounting Information Systems.
She came to the Department of Economics and Business in 2017. In her previous work for Korte & Kowatch, BDO USA, and Deloitte, she provided tax compliance and consulting services for clients including high-net-worth individuals, trusts, partnerships and stand-alone corporations. She has direct experience with IRS audits, tax accounting method changes and multistate corporate tax filings.
Mary is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).

With her two young children, Mary enjoys going for bike rides (with the occasional run) and trips to the beach during the summer months. She is an active member of her church, Evergreen Ministries CRC, and enjoys Bible studies with friends.
