Anne Zuidema
Assistant Professor of Nursing InstructionSince 2004, nurse practitioner Anne Zuidema has specialized in gerontology, providing care in assisted living and nursing home settings and working with families to incorporate palliative and hospice care when appropriate. She has served also on the nursing staff of a West Michigan community hospital, providing patient care in medical, surgical, and intensive care units and serving in a supervisory position.
As an undergraduate, she prepared for her nursing career in the joint nursing program in which Hope College and Calvin College collaborated at that time, before they established separate programs in 2003. In 2019, Dr. Zuidema returned to Hope as a member of the faculty. She teaches Gerontological Theory and Practice
