Hope College students will present a vocal jazz concert on Tuesday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Wichers Auditorium of Nykerk Hall of Music.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

Students performing include freshman Jamie Baarman of Holland; senior Wilford Dilbert of Holland; senior Gloria Holder of Petoskey; junior Je Won Jang of Seoul, South Korea; freshman Sydney Khouri of Vermontville; junior Mallory Lectka of Livonia; sophomore Kang Min of Suzhou, Jiangsu, China; senior Emily Newhof of Holland; senior Caitlin O’Connell of Ada; and junior Peyton Wells of Rockford.

The concert will also feature the Faculty Jazz Ensemble.

The students are directed by Edye Evans Hyde.  Hyde, an instructor of vocal jazz at Hope, has been teaching and performing jazz, blues and pop music for more than 20 years in West Michigan, Los Angeles and Asia.

Nykerk Hall of Music is located in the central Hope campus at the former 127 E. 12th Street between College and Columbia avenues.
