Students from multiple colleges and universities including Hope College will perform together in a concert by the Michigan Intercollegiate Honors Band on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The band will be performing Camille Saint-Saëns’ “Occident et Orient”; Frank Ticheli’s “Rest”; Percy Grainger’s “Immovable Do”; and Jack Stamp’s “AirLink.”

The Intercollegiate Honors Band is a joint collaboration of Adrian College, Albion College, Alma College, Calvin College, Cornerstone University, Hillsdale College, Hope College, Olivet College and Spring Arbor University.  Students in the band are nominated by their band directors and come together for one day of rehearsals, capped by the concert in the evening.

The guest conductor this year is Jack Stamp, who is an adjunct professor of music at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

The Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts is located at 221 Columbia Ave., between Ninth and 10th streets.
