The Hope College Department of Dance will host a Victorian Balle on Friday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. in the rotunda of the Martha Miller Center for Global Communication.

The Hope College community is invited. Admission is free.

No experience is necessary in order to dance into the 19th century.  Join in on the experience of enjoying history through a personal, physical experience. Basic dance instructions will be given for the19th century English Country Dances such as Lancers or Quadrille and Contredances. A “how to” for a basic 19th century waltz and polka will also be offered. Live music and light refreshments will be provided.

The Balle will feature guest caller Glen Morningstar.

The event is hosted by the Department of Dance’s Historical Social Dance class and supported by the Dorothy Wiley DeLong Endowment for Dance and Hope College.

The Martha Miller Center for Global Communication is located at 257 Columbia Ave., on Columbia Avenue at 11th Street.
