Classical guitarist Kyle Thompson will perform at Hope College on Friday, Dec. 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the John and Dede Howard Recital Hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts.
The public is invited. Admission is free.
Thompson resides in Grand Rapids and makes his living as a performer and teacher. Along with teaching and performing, Thompson serves as the assistant studio manager at Triumph Music Academy, an adjunct member of the faculty at Grand Rapids Community College and the executive director of America’s Music Company.
He has received degrees in music from Grand Rapids Community, Grand Valley State University and the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has studied under Brian Morris, Carlos De La Barrera and Clare Callahan. He has also performed in master classes taught by Marcin Dylla, Jason Vieaux and Oscar Ghiglia.
The Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts is located at 221 Columbia Ave., between Ninth and 10th streets.
